Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: LN58LY (Lincoln)
Nearest Train Station: Lincoln (10 minutes taxi on main bus route)
Postcode: LN58LY (Same as above; based on site, no travel required)
DBS Level: Enhanced (Both Adult and Child)
Service Users: 16-17 year olds and Care Leavers up to 21, including young parents and children
Working Hours: As per request, 8 am - 6 pm shifts, 3-week rolling rota
Car Driver Needed: No
Own Vehicle Needed: No
Valid Business Insurance: If using a car

Are you passionate about empowering young people to achieve their independence? We are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team in Lincoln (LN58LY). As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to 16-17-year-olds and Care Leavers up to 21, assisting them with independent life skills, benefit applications, and educational engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to young people, focusing on developing independent life skills.
  • Assist in the application process for benefits and grants to support residents.
  • Facilitate educational engagement and encourage participation in learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to maximize support for young people.
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents.


Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (Both Adult and Child).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by young people transitioning to independence.
