Independent Chair Barnet Council 

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Independent Chair to lead the Learning and Thematic Review Group, a subgroup of the Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership. As the Independent Chair, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the group and its functions, consistent with its Terms of Reference and prevailing guidance and statute.

Responsibilities:

  • Chair the Learning and Thematic Review Group
  • Undertake/coordinate activity on case reviews
  • Conduct thematic learning
  • Monitor implementation of action and training/learning events and impact
  • Ensure improved outcomes for vulnerable children and adults across Barnet
  • Ensure the effective operation of all functions of the Learning and Thematic Review Group
  • Secure the positive engagement of all member organisations
