Experienced Adult Social Worker
Job Description:
Service Care Solutions are seeking an experienced Independent Review Officer on behalf of Liverpool City Council to independently chair Foster Carer Reviews to the highest practice standards and ensure council services meet their statutory requirements, as well as improving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Main Duties Include:
- To independently organise, co-ordinate all Foster Carer Reviews, Post Allegation Reviews and Cause for Concern meetings, in line with statutory requirements and guidance. Including preparing any necessary reports, offering advice, and maintaining information and performance targets for all reviews.
- Ensure all planning arrangements for Looked After Children are of the highest quality and compliant in accordance with all statutory guidance and regulations as set out in CA 1989, IRO Regulations and Guidance 2004 and Working Together 2013.
- To prepare high quality review reports with clear recommendations regarding the carer(s) suitability to foster, evidencing the rationale of the recommendations.
- To undertake case audit reviews, quality assure and ensure the provision of efficient and effective services to children and young people.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Must have Fostering Independent Review Experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full enhanced DBS
