Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Housekeeper to work in Brighton for a private healthcare organisation with in a hospital.

Job role
To assist the the Laundry Supervisor to ensure that high standards of cleanliness of the residents and hospitals laundry.
To ensure that every resident enjoys clean and well maintained laundry and that it is presented to the required standard.
Duties
- To manage the laundry procedures thereby preventing unnecessary build-up.
- To be in control of the collection and distribution of laundry.
- To wash, iron and mend residents clothing.
- To ensure the different type of laundry are washed at the appropriate temperature.
- To distribute laundry to the residents wardrobes or chest of drawers.
- To ensure that the residents wardrobes and chest of drawers are tidy and neat at all times.
- Report any clothing accidentally damaged to the Laundry Supervisor.
- To ensure a regular supply of detergent and fabric conditioner are available at all times.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the daily defluffing of the dryer and reporting any defects to the Laundry Supervisor.
- To ensure that the laundry room is clean and free of safety hazards.
- To ensure the correct and safe use of laundry bags with particular regard to soiled and infected linen.
- To dispose of waste in accordance with the hospitals waste disposal policy.
- To ensure the correct marking of the residents clothes.
- To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
