Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in Leicestershire, which is in need of an experienced Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their team.
Role: Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor
Location: Leicestershire, hybrid working
Contract Length: 4 months ongoing, part time (14 hours a week)
Rate of Pay: £40- £45ph umbrella
The Role:
- Provide effective and efficient legal advice to the Council, partners and external customers to the highest standard
- Draft legislation on various different Commercial Contracts matters
- Deal with caseloads on Commercial Contracts matters from start to completion
- To assist with the investigation of complaints relating to Commercial Contracts matters
- To contribute to the positive and well managed running of the Council's legal team
The Person:
- Someone with a minimum of 3 years PQE in Commercial Contracts Law
- Someone with at least 3 years of experience working within a Local Authority
- Someone with current, hands on experience of drafting legislation
- Someone who is self-motivated and is able to operate in an isolated manner
- Someone who is able to proactively contribute to the successful running of the team
