Service Care Solutions are looking for a Learning and Development Administrator to work within the Gwent Police on a 9-month contract.
Location: Cwmbran
Job roles/responsibilities:
To provide administrative support to the Force in respect of Learning and Development.
- To provide administrative support to the Force, in particular with respect of Learning & Development, ensuring efficient and effective administration services.
- Booking of all courses to ensure the most effective use of training resource and training requests within financial regulations.
- To ensure the new courses are set up and current course information is maintained including spread sheets, competencies, skills, aims and objectives.
- To support the development and promotion of a range of initiatives including talent management, training, and professional development.
- To maintain a record of Taser usage and provide relevant management information and reports, as requested.
- Assist in the production of documentation as required, ensuring accurate and grammatically correct reporting of key information.
- Respond and deal with enquiries on the telephone, via e-mail and face to face with internal departments and external agencies.
- To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the information held within the Force systems through regular audit and checking procedures.
- To disseminate reports and information across the Force.
Knowledge/experience required:
- Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English / NVQ Level 2 Business Administration or relevant business administration experience.
- Must have previous experience of administrative support.
- Level 1 Welsh essential (training will be given).
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills and be able to communicate information to diverse audiences effectively.
- Must have knowledge of office management principals, methods and procedures.
- Must have an awareness of the Data Protection Act.
- Must be IT literate in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
