Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority based in Devon, who are seeking a Childcare Legal Assistant to join them on a contract basis. Please find below further details of the positions:

ROLE: Legal Assistant
LOCATION: Devon
RATE: £12 to £14 per hour
CONTRACT: Start ASAP, initial 3 month contract ongoing

The Role

• To assist a team of Childcare Lawyers in progressing matters through to completion
• Help prepare and update bundles to liaise with clients on a variety of matters
• Drafting documents such as Part 25 Applications, letters before proceedings, briefs to counsel, and letters of instruction to experts

The Person

• Previous experience in dealing with public child care law is essential
• It is ideal for someone to have a law related degree or at least 12 months direct Childcare Paralegal experience
• Someone how is able to cope with distressing matters
• Someone who can hit the ground running on the caseloads
