Job Description

A local Authority in the London Area is looking for an experienced and motivated Legal Practice Officer to join their well-resourced and accredited legal team. As a Legal Practice Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that financial processes within Legal Services and the wider council are followed. You will also be responsible for maintaining information databases and be a custodian for their case management system, Prescient Plus. The Legal Service is delivered though three areas who deal with different legal disciplines Safeguarding, Litigation and Commercial and Contracts. Collaborative working across these teams along with officers in other departments of the Council is required. You will be required to provide both remote and face to face training.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial processes within Legal Services and the wider council are followed
  • Maintain information databases and be a custodian for their case management system, Prescient Plus
  • Collaborative working across different legal disciplines
  • Exceptional organisational and IT skills with the ability to prioritise work and a clear focus on meeting deadlines
  • Make decisions and manage your own day

Rate/Length

This is a 3 month ongoing contract with a rate of £20-£23 per hour.
