Maintenance Manager

Job Description

A client within the Private Sector based in Cumbria is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join their repairs and voids team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is the delivery of customer focussed repairs and maintenance and void

services, ensuring high levels of performance, productivity, quality and cost-effective services

aligned to the clients vision and values.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • provide leadership and management for an operational delivery team of operatives/trades, supervisors, administrators, planners and schedulers
  • provide effective management of voids, responsive and out of hours and by harnessing performance, continuous improvement and collaboration across the business
  • champion health and safety management, ensuring compliance with regulatory health, safety and welfare standards and providing ownership and accountability for high-risk activities

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a full UK driving licence and a RICS or CIOB accredited degree, or equivalent, and / or strong equivalent experience built up through your working profession.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • relevant Health and Safety qualification with comprehensive experience of managing the Health and Safety of direct workforce and contractor activities
  • experience of leading a team to deliver housing maintenance and responsive repairs and voids services, with knowledge of relevant regulations, housing legislation and statutory requirements.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £25.57 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
