Multi Trade Handyperson

Job Description

We are looking for a handy person / Multi Trade to help out with minor maintenance tasks and our compliance program (fire alarm testing, emergency lights testing etc.)

If you are a friendly professional that is comfortable going into residents' properties to problem solve and ultimately complete basic maintenance repairs, I am keen to speak to you.

This is a full time role fixed term for 12 months

Location and Hours

Mobile working across Sevenoaks at our properties, sites and locations.

Working week is 42 hours from 8am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 5pm on a Friday.

A Van, tools etc will be provided to you on starting in this post.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out programmed health and safety checks to make sure that the association meets its legal responsibilities. To include but not full list; fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperature testing.

  • Completing minor building, plumbing and other repairs to maintain our homes, such as replacing window handles, adjusting door closers, clearing blocked wastes.

  • Regularly visiting our older people's schemes to assist with rubbish and litter arrangements, minor repairs of communal homes and to support older residents with minor maintenance jobs.

  • Support the management of our garages through rubbish removal, small repairs such as lock changes and inspection for other repairs as required.

Qualifications and skills

  • No formal qualifications required
  • Hold and maintain a full valid UK Driving Licence (business van provided)
