Location: Leek Wootton Police Headquarters/Hybrid
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Grade H £52,389 plus market supplement
Main Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the forces network infrastructure, ensuring day-to-day operational efficiency and contributing to the planning, design, and development of new technical solutions.
- Act as the network subject matter expert, providing technical support, assurance, and guidance on infrastructure, network configuration, and security tasks.
- Ensure the network complies with industry, national, legislative, and compliance standards, demonstrating consistency of implementation.
- Understand business requirements, deliver analysis, and recommend options to meet digital strategy objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in infrastructure architecture, evaluating emerging technology and proposing relevant initiatives.
- Represent Warwickshire Police and the Digital Services Directorate internally and externally, fostering partnerships and promoting the organisation's values.
- Build and maintain relationships with Managed Service Providers and other suppliers involved in reporting solutions.
- Undertake other duties as required, commensurate with the nature and level of responsibility of the role.
Knowledge:
- Substantial knowledge of Cisco, Avaya telephony, Azure, AWS, zScaler, SolarWinds, and Sentinel.
- Strong understanding of network Monitoring & Management and Supplier Management.
- Knowledge of SD Wan, VLAN Azure vWan, Static and Dynamic routing, and industry best practices such as ISO 20000 and ITSM.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience supporting, building, and maintaining physical and virtual infrastructure in large, complex organisations.
- Proven expertise in ICT technologies and operational service delivery.
