Neurology Consultant

Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Neurology Consultant for a 3-month locum position. This role involves providing specialist neurological care and clinical leadership within a dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The position includes standard weekday shifts with on-call responsibilities every six weeks over weekends.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call Requirement: Weekend on-call duty every 6 weeks



Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist neurology consultation and care to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Contribute to diagnostic and treatment plans in collaboration with the wider medical team.
  • Participate in MDT (multi-disciplinary team) meetings and case discussions.
  • Offer supervision and support to junior doctors and trainees.
  • Engage in on-call responsibilities as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with trust policies.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • GMC Registration Evidence (Full license to practice)
  • ALS (Advanced Life Support) or BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Essential Criteria:
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Extensive experience in neurology at consultant level
  • Proven history of clinical excellence and patient care
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
