Start Date: Within the next 2 weeks (subject to compliance clearance)
Hourly Rate: £29.00 per hour (via umbrella)

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of the London Borough of Bromley, who are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join their Reablement Team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced OT to contribute to short-term recovery and independence-focused interventions in the community.
This is a 3-month placement, working 30 hours per week, with hybrid working available. The expectation is 2 days in the office and 2 days from home, with face-to-face visits required as part of the role. Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Occupational Therapy assessments in clients' homes to identify needs for standard equipment and minor adaptations.
  • Work collaboratively with Reablement Senior Support Workers to plan and review client goals.
  • Triage new reablement referrals, determining urgency and appropriate intervention pathways.
  • Assess for and provide specialist equipment, including seating, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Complete Moving and Handling Assessments and provide expert recommendations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration
  • Experience working within community or reablement services is preferred
  • Able to work independently, manage a caseload, and deliver person-centred care
  • Must be available to start within the next 2 weeks
Additional Information:
  • Hybrid working model: 2 days office-based, 3 days from home
  • Expenses: Mileage can be claimed for travel from the office to client visits (home to work travel not covered)

  • Interview availability should be included with submission – the panel will aim to accommodate candidate schedules
