Overview:

Join us in the London Borough of Sutton for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. We are seeking two experienced and innovative Occupational Therapists to review moving and handling needs and assess for optimal care.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct moving and handling assessments with extensive experience and expertise.

- Guide and support the implementation of optimal care through robust risk assessment, positive risk-taking, and strength-based work.

- Enable individuals to live more independently and promote positive outcomes for residents while achieving savings through enabling optimal care.

- Communicate effectively and work in partnership with residents, their families, care providers, and other professionals.

- Complete targeted reviews across the borough in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers and Assessment Officers.

- Make recommendations for equipment and adaptations, including major/substantial adaptations to assist people in maintaining independence.

- Demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Housing Act, and principles of safeguarding.

Reporting Structure:

You will report to the Optimal Care Lead Occupational Therapist and receive monthly supervision and guidance, as well as informal support.

Work Environment:

Sutton has embraced hybrid working. You will be required to be based in the office regularly and conduct face-to-face visits with residents in Sutton. Remote work opportunities will also be available.
