Job Description
Service Care Finance are currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer on behalf of a Local Authority in Hampshire. The postholder will lead on the running and administering of the monthly payroll and ensure an efficient service is carried out. Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the postholder will run an end-to-end payroll, input starters, leavers and changes into the database and monitor quality control across the service.

Candidate Criteria

  • Experienced in end-to-end payroll within a large-scale organisation, preferably within Local Authority/Public Sector
  • Knowledge of LGPS & Teachers Pensions is highly preferred
  • Experience of processing new starters, leavers, changes with salary, change in hours, bank details, maternity and more
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
