Are you passionate about supporting young people in their journey to independence? We’re seeking an experienced Personal Advisor to join a dynamic Leaving Care Team, providing tailored support to care leavers, including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) and young people previously supported by the Child Welfare Department (CWD).
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfil statutory responsibilities to care leavers, including UASC and CWD cohorts
- Build positive relationships with young people aged 18+, supporting their transition into adulthood
- Lead on Pathway Planning, ensuring young people’s goals, needs, and aspirations are met
- Conduct regular visits (some out of borough) and maintain accurate records
- Participate in duty rota and provide sickness cover when required
- Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic support for young people
- Must be a car driver and live within a commutable distance of the office
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and occasionally work outside standard hours
- Previous experience as a Personal Advisor is essential
- Strong understanding of Leaving Care duties and the needs of the UASC cohort
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
