Pharmacy Dispenser / Technician - GP Practice
Opportunity for a a Pharmacy Dispenser / Technician to work within a GP Practice
The role is based within the GP practice with the role predominantly to process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by GPs and prescribing nurses where appropriate, in accordance with the principles of good practice. You will adhere to the strictest confidentiality when handling medical records and other information, pertaining to patients and project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way. You will build productive relationships with all work colleagues and other key external personnel. As part of this role you will play an integral part in managing dispensing workloads accurately and safely and ensuring high standards of dispensing practices are upheld and delivered each day. The role entails dealing with patient enquiries face-to-face and by telephone.
The role will be on a Permanent contract working 37.5 Hours Per Week
The Salary for this role is Negotiable based upon experience
Qualifications
- Medicines counter assistant qualification
- Accredited dispensing assistant course
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in dispensing or BTEC equivalent
- Experience of working in a pharmacy or dispensary environment is also essential.
