Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Childcare Legal Assistant to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to this position.

ROLE: Planning Lawyer
LOCATION: South London
RATE: £45.00 to £50.00 per hour
CONTRACT: Initial 4 months (with possibility of extension)

Please note that this role would be mostly remote working, with very little office attendance required.

The Role

• To assist the Senior Lawyer sin progressing full caseloads of Planning and Environment matters through to completion
• Matters will planning and highways agreements, planning enforcement, planning litigation and planning applications committee meetings
• To ensure that all such work is carried out to the requirements of relevant clients and to appropriate professional standard

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with relevant planning law experience
• Previous working experience of working within a Planning Law team within the public sector would be desirable
• Strong technical knowledge of highway agreements would be required
