Are you an experienced Plumber looking for a new challenge with a team committed to improving local housing? Southampton City Council is seeking a confident, self-motivated, and versatile individual to join our Housing Operations team as a Multi Trade Operative – Plumber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out a wide range of plumbing works in both occupied and void residential properties.

  • Complete minor works across other trade disciplines, including carpentry, tiling, and general maintenance.

  • Ensure effective communication with residents, team members, and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain high standards of property maintenance and customer service.

  • Adhere to health & safety guidelines and local council policies.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in plumbing, ideally with experience in both repairs and installations.

  • A strong understanding of property maintenance and the construction industry.

  • Ability to manage your own workload and perform other multi-trade tasks as required.

  • Excellent communication skills and a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
