Job Title: Policy and Performance Manager
Salary: £25.27 - £30.22 PAYE (Inclusive of Holiday Pay) | £30.51 – £36.49 LTD Umbrella
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Type: Temporary Ongoing (Possibility of Perm)
Location: London, W5 | 1 Day Per Week in the office
Start Date: June 2025


We are looking for an experienced Policy and Performance Manager to join a dynamic Corporate Strategy team within a leading public sector organisation. This role is pivotal in driving forward effective strategic performance and policy frameworks, ensuring the organisation remains informed, agile, and aligned with key sector developments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the organisation’s policy and strategy frameworks, ensuring up-to-date documentation, consistency, and alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Lead strategic performance coordination, producing high-quality reports and dashboards for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Coordinate the business planning and budgeting process, maintaining guidance, delivering workshops, and supporting strategic alignment across teams.
  • Conduct horizon scanning to monitor external developments and inform internal strategy with forward-looking insights and briefings.
  • Co-ordinate responses to government consultations and facilitate engagement with sector bodies and strategic networks.
  • Produce annual reports on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I), ensuring integration with corporate reporting.
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to senior leaders, influencing and shaping the direction of corporate planning and performance.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally with a relevant professional qualification in business, strategy, or data analysis.
  • Significant experience in corporate strategy, policy development, and performance reporting in large or complex organisations.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills, capable of drafting reports, briefings, and papers for a range of audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly at senior and executive levels.
