An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking a Practice Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with solid practice experience to further develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a varied client base
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns and tax computations
- Production of management accounts and financial reports
- Dealing directly with client queries and building long-term relationships
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff (if applicable)
- Liaising with HMRC and external stakeholders where required
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
