Job Description
A Local Authority based in London is looking for a temporary Principal Accountant to join their team on an initial 3-month basis. The post holder will lead on a key area of management or financial accounting and ensure that the council's accounts are compliant with best practice, relevant legislation and codes of practice. They will also support senior managers, implement savings/value for money improvements and provide high quality financial information and financial analysis.

Ideal Candidate
- CCAB qualified or equivalent membership
- Local Authority/Government finance background essential
- Experience of working with high level internal and external stakeholders
- Good communication skills and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
