Principal Planning Officer

6 months on-going contract, Inside IR35

North Somerset

Job Purpose

This company is seeking a highly skilled Principal Planning Officer to work on progressing a variety of major planning applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing planning applications from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning applications from inception to completion
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
  • Liaise with stakeholders and members of the public
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Negotiating section 106
  • Be a witness in planning appeal inquiries

Requirements

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field
  • Experience in managing planning applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
