Job Purpose
This company is seeking a highly skilled Principal Planning Officer to work on progressing a variety of major planning applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing planning applications from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning applications from inception to completion
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies
- Liaise with stakeholders and members of the public
- Provide expert advice on planning matters
- Prepare reports and presentations
- Negotiating section 106
- Be a witness in planning appeal inquiries
Requirements
- A degree in Town Planning or a related field
- Experience in managing planning applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
