Hours - 37.5
Location - East Grinstead
Rate of Pay - £20-£23 PAYE Per hour

  • Provide contract management support to stakeholders within the Trust.
  • Working collaboratively with whole procurement team, supporting and working closely with colleagues to share best practice.
  • Liaise with senior buying team in respect of loading contracted items in to the Trust catalogue.
  • Promote closer working relationships between procurement and rest of Trust.
  • Responsible for the initiation, planning, compilation and presentation of written information and detailed documents and reports.
  • Engage stakeholders and use high-level negotiating and influencing skills to develop and improve practice.
  • To liaise with stakeholders and other project representatives to determine precise requirements in terms of specification and other user based requirements.
  • Award contracts, providing formal de-briefings to suppliers and departments as necessary.
  • Provide end users with advice and guidance on procurement processes, including national and Trust policies.
  • Develop, manage and maintain positive individual and close team working relationships with other NHS organisations, including within the Sussex Health and Care Partnership Collaborative Procurement Programme.
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements to achieve best possible outcome for Trust and develop supplier relationships.
  • The post requires frequent face-to-face, written, verbal and electronic communications with a range of Executives, senior managers, clinicians and other healthcare professionals, service managers, information and finance professionals. There may be occasions where the post may need to communicate with wider NHS including NHS Improvement/England and
  • Department of Health officials.
  • Represent the Trust at relevant collaborative forums and, through these forums, benchmark and share evidence based practice across other Trusts and collaborative partners.
  • Communicate changes to procurement practice including regulations resulting from national agendas.
