Project Test Engineer - Automotive Technologies - Buckingham

My client, a dynamic Automotive Technologies business, are looking to recruit a Project Test Engineer with a strong interest and passion for Automotive Technology development. This is a great opportunity to work for one of the most dynamic smart-tech companies in the UK, with an extensive background of supplying products into the Global Automotive, Motorsport, Marine, Mining and Defence industry Sectors and a portfolio of Blue-Chip clients, including BMW, Pirelli, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, JCB and Bosch to name just a few.

As Project Test Engineer you will take ownership of testing and sign-off activities of products, by validating functionality, performance, reliability and safety. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, test plans and test tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in all aspects of product testing, from R&D to product release.
  • Develop and utilise software, firmware, and hardware testing tools for product testing tasks.
  • Write and execute product testing plans and strategies.
  • Identify and improve product testing tools and processes.
  • Create and maintain product test sheets and documentation.
  • Work closely with all our teams to ensure smooth and creative delivery!

Essential Experience Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent (ideally in Automotive Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role, ideally within the Automotive Technology industry sector
  • Familiarity with hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers and multimeters
  • Ability to demonstrate a logical approach to troubleshooting
  • Full, Clean UK Driving Licence

Desired Experience:

  • Exposure to GPS and Automotive-based technologies
  • Understanding of testing methodologies, tools and best practices
  • Knowledge of coding (Python)
