Job Title: Consultant Adult Psychiatrist
Location: United Kingdom – Remote, with optional face-to-face sessions in Basingstoke & Canterbury
Engagement Type: Self-Employed (Network Flexi Model)
Working Pattern: Flexible Scheduling | Up to 4 Assessments per Day
About the Role
As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist, you will focus on the assessment and diagnosis of Autism and ADHD in individuals aged 18+. You will play a key role in delivering compassionate, thorough, and clinically robust assessments that make a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodiverse adults.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct structured developmental histories using validated diagnostic tools.
  • Perform ADHD assessments and clinical behavioural observations.
  • Review real-time collateral information (e.g., observer/home input).
  • Provide clear, empathetic diagnostic feedback, with appropriate signposting and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team as needed.
  • Submit comprehensive diagnostic reports within 48 hours (supported by full administrative and formatting services).
  • Refer to NHS/ICB pathways as clinically appropriate.
Clinic Model & Flexibility
  • Remote-first service model, with optional hybrid/face-to-face assessments in Basingstoke and Canterbury.
  • Flexible scheduling, with up to four assessments per day at your own pace.
  • Availability options Monday to Sunday, enabling true work-life balance.
What We’re Looking For
  • GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist with a CCT in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Proven experience in adult ASD and ADHD assessments.
  • Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal requirements.
  • Clinically thorough, compassionate, and aligned with Psicon’s values.
  • Comfortable working independently while supported by our clinical and admin teams.
