A Local Authority based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Capital Works team.

This is a full time, temporary position and the ideal candidate will have experience working on both property and highways projects, ideally within a Local Authority environment.

The purpose of the role is support and help deliver £10m of capital works annually across the Council's Property and Highways.

The main responsibilities of the role:

• To be responsible for the high quality delivery of all related services in a way, which meets the requirements of the Council's corporate procurement rules, relevant health and safety legislation and the obligations, placed on the Council.
• To be responsible for the Quantity Surveying input for projects and services undertaken by the Property & Highways Service.
• To manage effective customer relationships that will retain and develop the business.
• To contribute towards Property & Highways Service's corporate and social responsibilities including policy, procedures and governance arrangements.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £20 - £21 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx. £510 - £530 p/week NET after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
