Join our dynamic team within the Organisational Business Support Directorate as a Receptionist. This role offers a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in providing effective administrative support to a diverse range of customers. We are seeking an individual who can embody professionalism, maintain a customer-focused approach, and exhibit strong organisational skills.
- Welcome and direct visitors to the appropriate person or meeting room, creating a warm and efficient welcome experience.
- Keep the reception area tidy and presentable, ensuring a positive first impression for all guests.
- Provide a high level of customer service, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to meet or exceed their service expectations.
- Professionally answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls and emails.
- Perform various receptionist duties such as photocopying, scanning, laminating, binding, and more.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure an effective, efficient, and high-quality service.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture within the Fire Service Headquarters.
- Prior experience in providing efficient reception and administration services is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and on the telephone.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions.
- Possess a polite and effective telephone manner when interacting with callers.
