Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Longton, Preston
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum up to £55 maximum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week (flexible working available)
We’re looking for a Registered Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new children’s residential care home supporting up to 3 children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a service from the ground up and be a key figure in delivering impactful, high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a new Ofsted-registered home supporting 3 children with complex needs
  • Create and maintain a positive, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment
  • Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and care planning
  • Supervise and mentor a committed care team
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards
  • Build strong external relationships with families and partner agencies


What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum Level 5 or working towards Diploma in Leadership & Management
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in children’s residential care
  • In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
  • Proven track record supporting young people with LD, autism or mental health needs
  • Inspiring leadership and team development capabilities
  • Passion to build something meaningful from the ground up
