Pay Rate: £27 per hour (Umbrella) / £21.71 PAYE (exclusive)
Additional Pay: Enhanced rates for nights and weekends

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a full-time Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work within the NHS at Fulbourn Hospital in Cambridge. This is a temporary agency contract offering competitive pay with uplifted rates for night and weekend shifts.

As a Band 6 RMN, you will be responsible for overseeing the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within agreed clinical parameters. You will act as a clinical leader on shift, support or step into the Nurse in Charge role, and carry out duties as delegated by the Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This role also includes supporting junior members of staff through clinical and operational supervision, promoting a culture of continuous learning and high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage clinical shifts, providing leadership and support to nursing teams.

  • Oversee and deliver evidence-based care planning, assessment, and evaluation.

  • Act as Nurse in Charge when required and respond to clinical situations effectively.

  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff, ensuring professional development.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective service delivery.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NHS and NMC standards.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.

  • Previous experience at Band 6 level or equivalent, with shift leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong clinical judgement, communication, and supervisory skills.

  • A commitment to patient-centred care and teamwork within NHS values.
