SKILLS REQUIRED: Previous NHS experience essential and at least one year experience working within a similar role.
Specialisms:
You’ll have the opportunity and choice to work across varied and specialist services, including:
- Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for adults (18+) detained under the Mental Health Act.
- Acute inpatient support for females aged 18–65 experiencing mental health crisis.
- Dedicated acute inpatient care for males aged 18–65 with mental illness.
- 24-hour care supporting individuals with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
- Low Secure Services for Men
The Role:
- Provide a high standard of care to individuals (adults) with mental illness.
- Develop therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement.
- Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress.
- Follow all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice.
The Person:
- NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Minimum 12 months post-registration experience within the UK
- Strong clinical knowledge of acute mental health conditions
- Passionate about delivering person-centred care in a fast-paced environment
- Team-focused with excellent communication skills
