We are currently recruiting for a Residential Care Officer to join a fantastic team of supportive and experienced colleagues making a positive impact on the lives of looked after children in the Doncaster area!
This position is:
* Permanent
* Full time - 37 hours per week
* £25,969 (up to £28,176 including 8.5% unsociable hours allowance for full time employees)
Key Responsibilities
Providing a warm, caring and enabling environment to meet the emotional, social and physical needs of looked after children and young people with disabilities and challenging behaviour.
Working on a rota of 7am - 3pm, 2pm - 10pm including weekends and bank holidays. This role will also require the candidate to undertake sleep in duties as required to meet the needs of the home.
Ensuring the safety and well being of individuals in your care
Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene and meal preparation
Maintaining accurate records and reports
Requirements
Previous experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential setting.
NVQ L3 or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on a rota of days, nights, and evenings
Passionate about providing care and support to individuals
