Job Description

This company is seeking a SEND Communication Co-production and Engagement Manager to develop and lead the parental and young peoples engagement and co-production program.

The SEND Communication Co-production and Engagement Manager will support Camdens Special Parents Forum to engage with, and represent, a broad and balanced range of parent carers to help strengthen services and anticipate need.

The SEND Communication Co-production and Engagement Manager will provide a single point of contact for Camdens Special Parents Forum and support the Forum to engage and influence SEND through innovative means including in person sessions and via social media platforms. They will take overall responsibility for the Local Offer Officer to deliver a dynamic, contemporary, accessible, fully co-produced, and well-maintained web site.

The SEND Communication Co-production and Engagement Manager will inspire and support the partnership to embed co-production within key workstreams, such as casework, quality assurance, the SEND strategy implementation plan, inspection readiness and the DfE Change Programme. They will support the Head of SEND and the wider SEND management team to strengthen co-production practice within their service areas. The successful candidate will lead a range of projects to ensure stakeholder engagement, events and communication activities in relation to the delivery of SEND programs are purposeful and effective.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and leading engagement and co-production programs
  • Strong culture of case-level and strategic co-production with children, young people and families with SEND
  • Experience in engaging and representing a broad and balanced range of parent carers
  • Experience in creating opportunities for parent carers to influence practice and policy
  • Experience in providing a single point of contact for parent carers and supporting them to engage and influence SEND through innovative means including in person sessions and via social media platforms
