Senior Building Surveyor

Job Description

Senior Building Surveyor
Islington
£56,195 per annum
35 hours per week | Permanent

We’re currently working with a forward-thinking Housing Association in North London that is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor on a permanent basis.
This is a key role within a high-performing and collaborative Assets & Repairs Team, reporting directly to the Assets and Repairs Manager. You’ll work closely with a Disrepair Coordinator, Surveyors, and a Repairs and Maintenance team, delivering high-quality surveying services to a portfolio of over 2,000 homes.

This is a genuinely varied role, combining technical surveying, project delivery, and resident engagement. From tackling disrepair and damp & mould cases, to overseeing quality control on planned and reactive works, you’ll need to be as confident on-site as you are when managing case files and performance reporting. You’ll support the team with complex or high-risk cases, oversee contractor performance, and play a key role in complaint resolution and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity to join a team with real ambition, during a time of positive change. Your insight and experience will help shape service delivery – and you’ll have a direct impact on improving homes and residents’ experiences.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Building Surveyor
  • Experience with repairs, voids, disrepair, damp & mould
  • Experience using housing or case management systems
  • Strong communication skills and confidence managing complaints
  • Organised and able to prioritise a busy and reactive workload
  • A team player who thrives in a resident-focused environment
