Temporary A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Housing professional to join a leading Housing Association in Hillingdon as a Senior Housing Options Officer, supporting residents in need of housing advice, options, and homelessness prevention services. THE ROLE
As a Senior Housing Options Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing advice and complex casework to prevent homelessness and ensure compliance with housing legislation.
- Deliver expert housing advice, including low-cost home ownership and prevention of homelessness
- Undertake complex casework and statutory homelessness assessments
- Provide leadership across cross-cutting housing projects and initiatives
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies including Adult and Children’s Social Care, Private Landlords, and Legal Representatives
- Lead and chair multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and forums
- Handle reviews, appeals, and complex service enquiries including complaints and judicial reviews
- Monitor performance data and ensure delivery of KPIs, including reducing use of temporary accommodation
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working in a high-pressure housing environment, ideally within a local authority or housing association, dealing with complex homelessness and housing options cases.
- In-depth knowledge of Housing legislation including Housing Act 1996 Parts VI & VII
- Proven track record of managing complex caseloads and housing reviews
- Strong understanding of partnership working with social care, support services, and private sector landlords
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Experienced in delivering service improvements and managing housing projects
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 36 Hours
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Contract, Temp with potential for extension
RATE: The pay for the role is £30.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £25.74 per hour, inclusive of holiday. HOW TO APPLY
