Our client, a local authority based in Coalville are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is on a temporary ongoing contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Be tasked with assisting the Housing Commercial Services and Asset Management Teams in the co-ordination and management of cost control and procedures for the repairs and investment work of the Council's housing stock and also to support the Housing Asset Management Team in producing and maintaining accurate financial information.
• Take responsibility for ensuring effective cost control measures are in place and budgets adhered to with regards to external and internal contracts.
• Be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with contractors, customers and stakeholders, dealing with challenging situations as and when required.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

A degree/HND or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.

Previous experience of Quantity Surveying within Housing / Local Authority.
