Pay Rate: £31.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £24.85 per hour (PAYE, excluding holiday pay)
Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for experienced Band 7 Sonographers to work on a temporary agency contract within an NHS Trust in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified professionals to contribute to a high-performing imaging department, delivering essential diagnostic services to patients across the region.
Role Overview As a Band 7 Sonographer, you will be responsible for independently performing and reporting on a range of ultrasound examinations. You will work closely with radiologists, consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic imaging that supports patient care and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound scans including general abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and small parts imaging
- Provide clear and concise reports to referring clinicians
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the scanning process
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Adhere to departmental protocols and national imaging standards
- Participate in quality assurance and audit activities
- Support junior staff and students where appropriate
- HCPC registration or equivalent recognised professional accreditation
- Postgraduate qualification in medical ultrasound
- Proven experience in a range of ultrasound modalities (e.g., general, obstetrics, gynaecology)
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
