Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to support the North London Forensic Service at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. This is a LOCUM opportunity for the duration of 3 months with the likelihood of extension. This is a full-time placement with 37.5 hours per week available. Part-time applications will be considered.

Pay Rate: £30.00 LTD p/h + £250 Welcome Bonus
Location: North London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Key Responsibilities

• The post holder will be responsible for the management and delivery of speech and language therapy services within a large London prison.
• Responsible for assessment and management of individuals with communication needs and will offer advice, training and consultation to non-speech and language therapy colleagues.
• Take the key role in the development of accessible information and services and will Lead on the further development of the Neurodevelopmental pathway- additional training will be available in this area.
• Involvement with dysphagia referrals and input to the dysphagia pathway for the NLFS.
• The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team comprising of a range of mental health professionals.
