Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide business partner support to services including waste and recycling; housing and homelessness; planning and building control and they will also support the Local Authority's housing revenue account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a high-level business partnering service, advising and challenging senior officers across multiple areas, ensuring the financial strategy of the Authority is met.
  • Support the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering to lead and coordinate the medium-term financial planning for the Authority.
  • Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements where necessary and within the agreed cost, time and standards.
  • Direct line management responsibility of up to 5 FTE staff.

Candidate Criteria

  • CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with extensive PQE
  • Experience of providing business partner support to multiple different areas within a Local Authority
  • Experience of leading and managing a team of Finance Business Partners to provide an effective service
  • Experience of supporting a Local Authority's housing revenue account
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
