Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a statutory body in Bedfordshire for a TUPE Specialist to join the team on a 9-month FTC. The TUPE Specialist will lead a complex and high-profile employee transition involving over 150 individuals across 52 legal entities.. The postholder will work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery partners, and trade unions to ensure a legally compliant, transparent, and people-centred transfer process from the charity sector into the public sector

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end TUPE process for the transfer
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on transferring employees, including employment terms, liabilities and pension implications
  • Ensure full compliance with the TUPE regulations, employment law and internal policies
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and tailored support tomanagers, the executive team and other stakeholders
  • Develop and implement a detailed transfer plan, including risk assessment, stakeholder engagement and employee communications
  • Collaborate cross functionally with external partners including the transferring charity, trade unions, colleague representative groups and legal to ensure a coordinated and transparent process
  • Work with colleagues to manage communication strategies to ensure transparency and clarity for all affected parties.
  • Identify and resolve complex employment issues, working closely with legal and the wider HR team as needed
  • Monitor and report on progress, escalating risks and proposing mitigation plans where appropriate
Candidate Criteria
  • CIPD Level 7 Qualification is highly desirable
  • Significant experience leading end-to-end TUPE transfers, ideally between charity and public sectors
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver to tight timelines
  • Demonstrated success in managing formal consultation processes and engaging effectively with trade unions and employee representatives
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
