Work Experience And Volunteer Coordinator
About the Role
Oxfordshire County Council are currently seeking a Migrant Work Experience And Volunteer Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of work experience and volunteering opportunities for migrants and refugees across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the Children, Education and Families team where you will be responsible for developing, leading and managing migrant work experience and voluntary work to an increasing number of newly arrived migrants for whom limited English hinders integration
- Develop a package of support for migrants to enable them to access meaningful work experience and voluntary work experience opportunities
- Work with recruiters including DWP, New Recruits, Hire to Inspire (H2i) etc to support guests into work experience and voluntary work placements
- Support the establishment of Mentor programmes for migrant employees
- Ensure full compliance including health & safety, safeguarding and data and mitigating all risk
Key Requirements
- English Language, Mathematics and IT GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years employment advisor/support
- Experience of handling data and statistics and retrieving data
- Experience in writing copy in plain English
- Use of a car in order to travel to different locations
