Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Young Peoples Advisor at Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Cheshire West and Chester Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• To work with young people aged 16 years - 25 years who are or have been looked after or accommodated by the Local Authority in order to plan their transition to adulthood and assist them to live an independent life in their community.
• To carry out the statutory responsibilities and duties for looked after children in line with the Children Act 1989, Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and related regulations.
• To identify packages of support for young people living in the community and supervise and monitor the delivery of tasks in accordance with the pathway plan to meet young person's needs.
• To prepare reports and present at 16+ multi-agency accommodation panel, Child protection conferences, planning meetings, multi-agency adults at risk (MAARS) panel and court as required

Essential criteria

NVQ Level 3 in childcare or other relevant professional qualification

A full UK driving license with access to a car.
