Job Description

Service Care Solutions are seeking a Youth Support and Development Worker on behalf of Hackney Council to provide high-quality, effective, and responsive early help and prevention services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering programmes of youth work and targeted interventions that result in tangible improvements to young people's well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored interventions and targeted group work to improve young people's well-being
  • Establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders through excellent communication skills, energy, and a professional approach
  • Address concerns such as crime, educational engagement, or sexually harmful behaviour
  • Ensure evidence-based practice, youth work methodology, and effective practice in youth participation and children's rights are followed

Requirements

  • A professional or occupational qualification in youth work, teaching, social work, or health is desirable
  • A clear understanding of evidence-based practice, youth work methodology, and effective practice in youth participation and children's rights
  • Experience in the delivery of tailored interventions, targeted group work, and youth work
  • Commitment to improving young people's well-being

Qualifications

  • Professional or occupational qualification in youth work, teaching, social work, or health is desirable

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Energy and professional approach
  • Ability to establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders
