Job Title: ADHD Assessor CYP
Position Type: Contract – 2 weeks
Location: Remote / Hybrid opportunities available
Salary/Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible
Candidate Responsibilities for the ADHD Assessor CYP role include:
- Conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments for children and young people, aligning with NICE guidelines and DSM-5 criteria
- Gather and analyse developmental histories, standardised assessment tools, and collateral information to support diagnosis
- Produce detailed and high-quality diagnostic reports with clear clinical recommendations
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Communicate assessment results sensitively to young people, families, and professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, governance, and professional standards
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
Candidate Requirements:
- Current registration with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England
- Qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD/RSCN), Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, or Social Worker
- Proven experience conducting ADHD assessments for children and young people
- Strong understanding of DSM-5, NICE guidance, and neurodevelopmental conditions
- Excellent report writing, clinical reasoning, and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
