Adult Care Solicitor

Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a local authority legal team on an initial 6-month contract. Please find below further details regarding this role.
 
ROLE:                  Adult Social Care Lawyer
LOCATION:         East London (hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
RATE:                   £52.60ph umbrella / £46.37ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £41.38ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
CONTRACT:        6 months, full-time

The Role
 
You’ll manage a varied caseload of adult social care matters, with a strong focus on Court of Protection work, alongside advising on:

• Ordinary Residence disputes
• Care Act 2014 responsibilities
• Judicial Review matters
• Local Government Ombudsman issues
• Advocacy in Courts/Tribunals (where permitted)
• Drafting court applications, legal documents, and reports

 
There may also be occasional involvement in child protection matters when required.
 
The Person
 

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive
• Strong Adult Social Care law experience
• Proven Court of Protection expertise
• Local authority/public sector experience preferred
• Ability to manage complex cases independently
