Adult Social Care Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a growing local authority, based in Norfolk, which is looking to recruit an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer. The successful candidate must be confident working autonomously and delivering high-quality legal advice across the entire remit of Adult Social Care law.
 
Role: Adult Social Care Lawyer
Location: Norfolk – hybrid/remote
Umbrella Rate: £55 - £60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £47.96 - £52.30ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a busy and varied Adult Social Care caseload from instruction to completion with minimal supervision.
• Providing expert legal advice on matters including:
  • Care Act 2014 duties and responsibilities
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Safeguarding and judicial review matters
  • Ordinary residence disputes
  • Court of Protection applications and proceedings
• Conducting advocacy where required or managing external counsel.

Key Requirements:

• Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with 3 or more of years of PQE in Adult Social Care Law.
• Strong experience within a local authority setting is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload self-sufficiently.
