Adult Social Care Solicitor

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded Local Authority in Cheshire for an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with experience handling Adult Social Care matters within a local government setting.

Adult Social Care Solicitor
Location: Cheshire (Remote Working)
Contract: 29 Hours Per Week | 3-5 months rolling | Part time
Umbrella Rate: £55.00 - £60.00 per hour
PAYE (inc.Hol): £48.60 - £52.95 per hour
 
Responsibilities as an Adult Social Care Solicitor:

• Manage a varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters on behalf of the Local Authority.
• Provide specialist legal advice on issues relating to the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983, safeguarding, and human rights.
• Draft and review legal documentation, applications, witness statements, pleadings, and court bundles.
• Represent the Local Authority at hearings, meetings, and case conferences where required.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate.
• Previous experience managing Adult Social Care matters within a Local Authority is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection procedures, and safeguarding legislation.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
