Key Responsibilities of the Adults Social Worker (Qualified)

As an Adults Social Worker (Qualified), you will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive assessment, planning, and support of adults within the community or inpatient settings. Your duties will include:

• Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of adult service users, particularly within the OPMH team
• Developing person-centered care and support plans tailored to individual needs
• Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and service users
• Providing advice, guidance, and support to colleagues and service users
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and safeguarding procedures
• Managing caseloads efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
• Completing timely and accurate documentation and reports

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal Adults Social Worker (Qualified) will possess:

• A recognized qualification in Social Work (e.g., BA/SW or equivalent)
• Registration with the HCPC
• Experience working within mental health services, especially the OPMH team (preferred)
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
