Advanced Social Worker - Front Door (Children’s) – Contract Opportunity

Are you an experienced and dedicated social worker looking for a rewarding role in children’s safeguarding? We are currently seeking an Advanced Social Worker - Front Door (Children’s) for a 4-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Children's Front Door team, formerly known as the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), and make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.

About the Role:

The Advanced Social Worker - Front Door will play a pivotal leadership role, working alongside permanent Team Managers to enhance safeguarding practices and ensure timely support for vulnerable children. This position offers the chance to influence service development and lead decision-making processes within a dynamic multi-agency environment.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team managers to uphold high standards of service delivery
• Lead the Front Door team in decision-making and intervention processes
• Act as a key liaison with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication
• Triage support requests, applying the Level of Need Tool to identify risk
• Allocate and sign off contacts daily, ensuring accurate records
• Support Early Help Connectors through advice and guidance to facilitate decision-making
• Contribute to safeguarding procedures and help shape continuous service improvement

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying social work experience (PQE)
• Social Work England registration
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Ability to meet the hybrid working requirement (office & home-based, 3 days in the office)
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Experience in children’s social care and safeguarding

Benefits:

• Salary up to £42 per hour, dependent on experience
• Accommodation/commuter allowance of £150 per week (eligibility required)
