Your expertise will ensure the seamless transfer of project data into asset management systems, helping DWP Estates maintain a “golden thread” of reliable information. The Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of asset information standards, conducting BIM assurance activities, and integrating BIM data with operational management platforms. You will also mentor BIM team members, engage with multiple stakeholders, and support innovation in digital asset management.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage BIM strategy and ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 19650, UK BIM Framework, and DWP’s digital transformation goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee asset information standards, including AIRs, EIRs, and digital handover protocols.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to verify data integrity, model accuracy, and adherence to project and operational standards.
  • Oversee the integration of BIM with CAFM/IWMS platforms supporting lifecycle asset management, maintenance, and space planning.
  • Promote the use of the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring a secure, collaborative, and consistent approach.
  • Lead and mentor BIM team members, including Assistant BIM Managers and Revit Technicians, encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and deliver BIM training across teams, representing DWP in industry forums.
  • Monitor performance using KPIs, identifying areas for continuous improvement and supporting digital twin development.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in BIM strategy development and implementation, aligned with BS EN ISO 19650 and UK BIM standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of asset information standards, assurance, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and other BIM authoring and coordination tools.
  • Demonstrable experience with structured data outputs such as IFC and COBie.
  • Strong understanding of BIM integration with operational systems such as CAFM and IWMS.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Power BI).
  • Leadership experience in managing BIM professionals and supporting digital capability growth.
